You didn't even state what kind of mechanical switches it uses; Are they cherryMX, and if so are they MX blue or MX brown switches? Is it a clackety or relatively silent KB? Does it have number key rollover? Are the keys anti-ghosting, if so, up to what number can be recognized at a time? I think i'll just buy the most expensive DasKeyboard for $5 more rather than buy from an overpriced company that uses cheap materials and is in love with itself

Is this Steve Swansons first review of anything? He didn't tell us anything important about the keyboard. Here's the impression he left me with: "here's a $130 3pound keyboard with a steel plate in it. It's some kinda mechanical like keyboard that has keys that feel good to me.It lacks the cheesy n00b keys that I am soooo fond of. I can't fail to mention that getting my bodily fluids trapped under the keys may cause a short. Speaking of short, the cable is kinda short but it's very fat. It's geared toward gamers (although I've completely failed to mention how)but should also be great for anyone who wishes to construct sentences and such."

Wow this is a Review site? Maybe you should hire me so I can take a picture of the product and regurgitate the box print to your readers. Don't worry I'll throw in a vague personal opinion about the feel by relating it to one other product from a different genre of products. Maybe I'll even compare products that are 2 genres apart, like comparing my mouse to an xbox controller. What is this world coming to when an editor cannot even proper review a keyboard?

I do however think that editors shouldn't be allowed to review any "gaming grade" kit. I wish there existed a site where gamers wrote reviews for gaming gear. I am sick of the hundreds of review sites where editors play three games for 20 minutes and tell us how it felt on the new kit. Come to think of it, you are right techsaint; Reviewing a keyboard should be a major forte of an editor as they spend their days typing for a paycheck. Maybe this editor is a clown.

Sorry about that, they are Cherry Black switches. When I read that I thought it was just describing the color of the switches, not what type they were. N-Key rollover is supported with the USB to PS/2 adapter. I thought I mentioned that in the review but I guess not.


techsaint, instead of just sitting there complaining about a review, how about giving some suggestions on how to improve it and what information you would like to see in a review.

That's why I want to see where we can have profiles for hardware here because then you can submit your own reviews.

i just got the keyboard last week and have been trying it out to see what all this fuss is about with mechanical keyboards. I was debating on getting this or the new razer black widow with the cherryMX blues. After testing both keyboards at the store I decided that I liked the feel of the blacks better than blues. I have fat slow fingers so the extra resistanceof the blacks suited me better. My girl friend liked the razer with cherryMX blues better so I think its personal preference. I think people that are already fast typer might prefer the blues as she types around 80wpm. I've been using it for about a week playing typing games and starcraft 2 testing it out. it definitely feels much better than regular keyboards. I guess if u have the money to burn, its a nice investment since its built solid enough to last you a life time
