Coolermaster Stacker 830 Review

Recently, it seems that cases here have been growing larger. After the initial wave of SFFs, the trend has been going towards larger ATX cases. It seems that every company now has one or two models that are much larger than before, able to hold many more (and larger) fans and drives than before, and are as a result, much heavier than before. Yes, I am still thinking about the gigantic slab of metal that is Thermaltake's unwieldy Tai Chi.

The original Stacker was unique in a few ways. It was one of the first mass market BTX compatible cases, and it only contained 5.25 inch bays for installation. Sure it had an adaptor to convert some of those 5 inch bays to 3.5 inch hard drive bays, but on the outside it sure looked like a CD duplication unit.

Since then, many companies have followed suit, such as Thermaltake with their Armor case, each with minor aesthetic and internal differences. Now, 15 months after the release of the original, Coolermaster has released the successor.
