Benchmarks - other stuff

A better showing here. Although it trails the other Soltek board in many cases, it also stays ahead of the AOpen in as many. Reiterating: performance shouldn't be top priority.

Audio usage

The Soltek has the main advantage here due to the C-Media chip onboard. Compared to the AC'97 on the AOpen, there is a significant performance difference. Unless you are planning to get another PCI sound card anyway, the C-Media is a much better sound chip than the software-driven AC'97.

HDD Performance

The red is the Soltek K8AN2E-GR , the blue is the QBic. What you don't see means it overlaps. As you can see, you don't see much of the red line at all, meaning IDE performance is identical in both cases (not surprising since they use the same driver/controller)
