The Soltek K890Pro-939 uses the ubiquitous Realtek ALC850 chip. The overhead on the SL-K890Pro seems to be a tad higher than both the AGP counterpart as well as the Gigabyte nForce 4 SLI.
Call of Duty Sound Test
Call of Duty seems to corroborate the larger processor hit the Realtek chip entails. Although the SL-K890Pro does the best with sound off, throw on EAX and it gets squeezed between the K8TPro and the Gigabyte nForce 4.

Both Soltek boards take a lead over the Gigabyte K8NXP, with the K8TPro-939 edging out its PCI-Express rival by a minimal ~50 MB/sec. Gigabyte's nForce4 SLI-based solution lags behind, quite surprisingly, by a considerable margin.
XviD Encoding
The K890Pro-939 and K8TPro are essentially tied for fastest though they beat the nForce 4 SLI by almost 30 seconds in a two pass encoding scheme that is over 20 minutes long.
