The principles of case design have often followed a simple formula: build a variable size box, insert required components and/or racks, and eventually incorporate methods to cycle air through -- often enough this was just a simple exhaust fan that hoped to suck out any air present in the case that was accumulating behind the CPU.
But recent concepts have emerged that have started to defy the basic design of a case. The Antec Skeleton takes that a bit further by completely dismissing the basic box design and offering out a unique approach that cools and provides plenty of expandability while looking quiet sleek.
How will all of this stack up in real world testing though? Not that many people really know -- but we'll take our first look in the coming pages. First, let us go over all the tiny details which make the Skeleton the tempting the piece of hardware that it is.
