Olympus DW-90 Digital Voice Recorder Review - PAGE 1
Patrick Woo - Wednesday, September 12th, 2001

Introduction

When I first put my hands on the new Olympus DW-90 digital voice recorder, I have to admit that I was a little skeptical. I was more familiar associating Olympus with cameras than digital recorders. And second, I didn’t fully understand why anyone would want to spend money on a digital recorder over just a regular cheap tape recorder?

After testing the unit, I came to realize several things. One, Olympus is more than just a camera company. They are quite experienced in the microcassette recorder industry, having created the world’s first microcassette recorder. As well, the DW-90 digital voice recorder is more than just another toy; it contains many distinct advantages over the conventional tape recorder.
