MSI P35 Platinum Motherboard - PAGE 15
J. Micah Grunert - Tuesday, June 26th, 2007

Just like with the stock benchmarks, the MSI P35 Platinum had a few surprises for us with the overclocking results as well. Starting with our OC gaming benchmarks,  we can see that there were a few nice performance boosts, but no blue ribbons to be handed out.

A nice boost to Doom 3.

And  another for Quake 4.

The WinRAR results slaughter the competition, probably due to the wickedly fast FSB overclock.

Sandra CPU does well too.

The memory latencies are nice and low in Sandra.

But here's where the MSI P35 Platinum bombs. There is something wonky going on with the memory controller and it shows. We'll probably see the same problem with the RightMark Memory tests.

Yep.

And yep.

Yet yep again.

But the latencies are low. What gives?
