Doom 3 seems to be a long running standard in benchmarking, and the fast paced action you'll find in Call of Duty can really speak of system speed.

I don't really like that number. When I'm blasting my way across the Mars UAC faculty (daemons beware), I need 170fps at a bare minimum.

The same can be said for Call of Duty. That game demands 130fps at the very least.
