Even though the HD 5870 launched within the last twenty-four hours, the HD 4890 is still one of the kings of the road. Now relegated to 'just' the second fastest single-GPU video card available from ATI, nonetheless, the HD 4890 still offers top-echelon performance only rivaled by few others, such as the GTX 285.
And for many gamers, if you are going to get something as fast as a HD 4890, you might as well consider to get something even faster, right? No sense in doing things in half-measures. So you might as well consider a pre-overclocked model.
MSI has overclocked the HD 4890, and has made use of a positively gargantuan GPU cooler, with today's R4890 Cyclone OC. It's not a gust of wind, gail, storm, typhoon or even a tornado -- this is the Cyclone! So we can anticipate some serious town-wrecking performance from this piece of work.
The HD 4890 is sits among a crowded price point, around the $200 mark. Especially with overclocked HD 4870 and GTX 260 video card prices falling fast, capable gaming cards such as the Cyclone have something to prove, if they want to get noticed. We'll inspect the Cyclone today to see if it has enough of what it takes to blow away the competition.

anyway, for 200 bucks, i dont think its worth it, especially when its compared to the overclocked HIS HD4890 with a core clock of 965 mhz, and (if i recall correctly) 202 dollars after rebate. still, this card would make for a great eye pleaser if you have an acrylic see through case or a case with a good side window.
As for the 4890's , apparently it is the only 4800 series cards that have not been canceled with the release of the 5800 series. This Cyclone was good but there are certainly many cards out there...
