Power consumption figures are crazy for the idle, great for the casual user. But at the same time why would a casual users jump on a 285? Nice review and it's always nice to see products from companies lurking in the darkness.

Am I missing something or the 5850 actually wasn't in the comparision lineup?

I wouldn't call the 5850 the main competitor of the GTX 285. In fact I wouldn't even consider the two cards to be in the same league.

The 5850 costs about the same as the GTX 285 but that's because the GTX 285, IMO, is overpriced. It has never had, and still doesn't have good price/performance.

Plus, I don't have scores for a 5850.
