MSI K9N SLI Platinum Review - PAGE 7
William Henning - Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

HDTach

Pretty much as we'd expect, SATA performance of the Nforce boards was almost identical - certainly within experimental error. The K9N was slightly slower than the competition - by less than half a percent - however it came in at 25% less CPU utilization. Not that 1% matters.

The nForce 570 does seem to lose out to the nForce 590 with PATA drives; here the difference is almost 10% in favor of the 590.

The USB performance of the K9N was last, however we are talking about roughly a 1% performance differentian, nothing earth shaking.

WinRAR

The K9N excelled at WinRAR, leading the field in both stock and overclocked configurations by quite a margin!
