Our test system consisted of the following:

Intel 840 D:

  • Intel Pentium 4 840 (Smithfield 3.2 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, LGA775)
  • 2*512 MB Corsair XMS2 PC8000 @ 5-4-4-9-2T up to 1000 MHz
  • Western Digital WD1200JD SATA hard drive
  • 7800GTX 256 MB PCI-Express

Disclaimer: The other results shown for comparison purposes are not directly comparable for gaming results as we have recently updated our primary test platform to nVidia 7800GTX running 81.98 Forceware from 6600GT running 66.93 drivers. The processor and memory bound tests are still directly comparable, and the business benchmarks are also largely comparable.
