Tombraider
Remember the bad performance of the Nvidia series of cards in Tomb Raiders in previous reviews? Well the 5700 still gets hit with the ugly stick and is kind of staggering around dazed in this benchmark. The 5900 however relies on brute force and pulls out a big win here besting even the R96XT. Performance between R96XT and the 5900 are very close. The 5900 clearly pulls ahead at 1280. This benchmark really shows the strength of the DX9 processing power of the ATI cards.
X2 Rolling Demo
X2 is a space sim with lots of eye candy. All three cards are fairly close at all resolutions without AA/AF but with it on, the 5900 pulls ahead by roughly 30%. The R96XT competes well until 1600 where it tanks sharply.

Mr. XXXXXXX,
At press time, it was announced that HL2 would be included with Gigabyte's Radeon 9600XT line of graphics cards. However, at official release the HL2 coupon will only be included with our Radeon 9800XT series, and not 9600XT series.
