So how did this bad-boy measure up next to its smaller cousin?
Results / Conclusion
Eh-umm Ladies and Gentleman the VOS32 has taken the lead! As was expected! Starting with the stock 600 MHZ bench, comes a hysterically low 23 degrees Celsius! 23 degrees can you believe it? I couldnt I actually tested this cooler three times to double-check all my equipment! But thats a true-blue score. Continuing the cooler yielded at two degree higher mark when hitting the 700 MHZ range, scoring a (still low) 25 degree Celsius, then at 735 MHZ and 750 MHZ we saw an interesting jump of 3 complete and whole degrees. Now that may not sound like much but it can mean the WORLD when overclocking. Still it scored a very nice 28 degrees Celsius when pumped up to those ranges, but interesting enough, the FAK 50 scores slightly lower at the 735 MHZ mark but once increased to 750 it went past the VOS32 by one degree. As with the FAK50 the VOS32 shares much of the same design features that help it to excel over the top of the performance charts. Among them are the lightweight and very heat absorbing aluminum alloy heat sink, and although the sink was oversized on the VOS32 cooler I doubt you would actually see its gain until you went into the more extreme overclocking arena perhaps beyond 800 MHZ, so the performance at our 750 MHZ may not have been contributed to the extra material used. I would be more inclined to think that the two high-speed fans spiraling air downward is what helped more than anything. The more air the better is the rule I have always used and I think that rang true in my test with the VOS32 cooler.
Im going to score the VOS32 a 95% for #1 performance score, easy installation, and its extreme overclock-ability.
