IntroductionBack in late October, nVidia officially unveiled their latest creation, the GeForce FX 5950 Ultra - formerly codenamed NV38. The card was to become nVidia's flagship card, usurping the FX 5900 Ultra as the king of the (nVidia) hill. On that fateful day, not only did nVidia release the card, but they also announced the introduction of a few new partners. Most notably was the announcement that Gigabyte had officially become an nVidia partner. The CompanyGigabyte was founded in 1986 in Taiwan, and started off by producing motherboards for Intel's family of chips. When ATi was becoming a legitimate competitor for nVidia during the GeForce 2 day, Gigabyte signed on to become a partner, and so the Maya line was born. Fast forwarding to the present day, Gigabyte has taken the same route as with a lot of other manufacturers and are producing cards from both ATi and nVidia. Giagbyte will be producing all of nVidia's (current) cards to satisfy all types of gamers - every card from the GeForce 4 MX 440 to the GeForce FX 5950 Ultra.
