Gigabyte Dual-GPU 3D1 - PAGE 7
Tom Karpik - Thursday, January 6th, 2005

X2 Rolling Demo

Here we have another popular Direct3D benchmark.

With no AA/AF, the 3D1 just inches past the X850 at all resolutions, but drops behind it when AA/AF are in use. Under those settings, the 3D1, oddly enough, performs at exactly the same speed as the 6800 GT, to the dot. The 6600 GT takes last place in both sets of tests.

Splinter Cell

Splinter Cell has also grown to become quite a popular Direct3D benchmark.

The X850 and 6800 GT flirt with each other in this benchmark, not being able to decide who should take first place, though the X850 appears to do better than the 6800 GT at 1600x1200. Twenty FPS behind these two lovers is the 6600 GT-based couple, performing more or less identically to each other, with the 3D1 scoring a couple of FPS higher.
