seems to work well for me, however, when I try to unlock my forth core my system becomes unstable, anyone else?

you could just have a problem with the processor itself. when the cores are disabled, they are sometimes done so because they are damaged. this is a way for the manufacturers to save some money and reduce wastage. core unlocking doesnt work for everyone.

It's a risk taken in buying the tri or dual core chips to unlock the other cores. The best you can do is study the processor codes that have the best results and hope that your retailer gets you one from a batch around that time. As hiigaran noted, these are often disabled for some level of defect in the quality of the chip. Some are able to underclock to gain stability while others have to just revert back to their original cores.

direct x 11 doesn't see it either, I think you are right, they call it a three core when the fourth core doesn't work properly

The functionality is always a toss-up, although if by some freak accident it ever has a problem. AMD tends to maintain a one time swap program no matter what the case is for the chip not working. Unfortunately that still doesn't promise you a working 4th core if you did get another chip.
