Introduction
FIC has been around since the 80's and produces motherboards, video cards, PC systems and mobile devices. They've made a name for themselves in the low-cost basic boards arena. The Intel 845D chipset is geared directly towards that. The 850 + Rambus combo is what Intel has geared towards the high end. DDR is what the mainstream users want. When properly tweaked the 845D can offer performance that rivals the 850 at a considerably lower cost.

On the CD-PLUS you'll find eight useful applications.
- Norton AntiVirus 2001: My favorite anti-virus program and it's also the most popular one on the market.
- Norton Personal Firewall 2001: I'm not a big fan of this firewall, but it's certainly better than nothing if your router doesn't do any kind of filtering for you already.
- Norton Ghost: Nice and easy program to create images of all the data on your hard drive and duplicating drives/partitions.
- AutoSave: Automatic backup software its what the system restore feature in Win XP copies.
- InterVideo Win DVD: A simple to use DVD Player.
- eWalla: A rather funky and annoying animated character that appears on your screen and delivers message via text and voice.
- IMAGEMORE: An image/clipart collection.
- Acrobat Reader: A PDF file viewer from Adobe.
The drivers cd has all of the drivers for the onboard devices of course ;)
