FIC AT010 Radeon 9700 PRO Review - PAGE 2
Neumann Lim - Thursday, October 31st, 2002

Installation and Setup

There were no big issues with the installation of the card. The board was plugged into the AGP slot and we made sure to plug in the secondary power connector to the card. We used ATI’s Catalyst v2.2 drivers to run the tests (FIC website recommends using ATI drivers). Without any delays let’s look at the test system!

Intel P4 2.8GHz Processor
FIC VC19
Corsair XMS3200 CL2
Seagate Barracuda ATA V
ATI Catalyst 2.2 Certified Drivers
nVidia Detonator XP v40.41 Drivers
WinXP Pro

The COMPETITION:

nVidia GeForce4 TI4600 128MB DDR
(Detonator XP v40.41 drivers)

ATI’s Radeon 9700

TESTS PERFORMED:

3Dmarks2001SE Pro
Quake3 Arena v1.17
Comanche 4 Unreal Tournament 2003

Directx 8.1 Benchmark

3Dmarks 2001SE Pro

From the directx 8.1 test, there really isn’t any difference between the ATI Radeon 9700 PRO and the FIC AT010! This leads me to believe that the FIC board just be a direct copy of the ATI board… (please see the photo comparison)
