The biggest shooter of 2004 must be Far Cry and for good reason. It looks gorgeous but also requires massive system performance to drive it. Being Pixel Shader heavy also helps it showcase the processing power of the newer video cards.
The X800 XT manages to sweep up without AA/AF. Unlike most of the other benchmarks we note that the 6800s do not fall off as far as the X800 at 1600. In fact the e-GeForce takes the lead at 1600x1200. Performance gains are expected by the 6800 series with the imminent release of Far Cry 1.2 which supports Shader Model 3.
