eVGA e-GeForce 6800 Ultra - PAGE 6

D3D Shooters

UT2k4

UT2k4 is one of the AAA titles that have been released in recent months. UT2k4 is not particularly shader intensive but has vast open areas and a lot of textures. It is interesting to note that Nvidia seems to have the more efficient drivers; even the 5950 manages to pull in better framerates at 1024 but do not let the gap fool you in the first graph; all the next generation cards are within about 2 FPS of each other from 1024-1600. Not a significant difference at all.

With AA/AF on it turns into a dog fight with the X800 XT PE eeking out the eVga 6800 Ultra at 1600x1200, however the difference in the performance between the two cards is minor at best.

Halo

Halo has the X800 XT PE cracking the century mark at 1024x768. The eVga e-GeForce is not too far behind. It snatches the lead decisively at 1600x1200. The improvement in Pixel Shader performance compared to the previous generation high end Nvidia card is pretty mind boggling - we're looking at a 264% increase in performance at 1600x1200 when pitted against the eVga 6800 Ultra.
