Test Setup

Our test system consisted of the following:

AMD 3700 (Sandiego core) @ 2.7GHz (9 x 300 HT Frequency)
OCZ PC 5000 memory running at 2.5-4-4-8
DFI LanParty nF4 SLI-DR motherboard
Western Digital 120 GB Harddrive.

We tested using the 81.94 drivers from Nvidia, and 5.11 drivers from ATI.

3DMark 05: Fillrate, and Pixel and Vertex Shader performance.
Half-Life 2: Visual Stress Test
Doom 3: Timedemo
Call of Duty 2: Custom Timedemo
Battlefield 2: Custom Timedemo
Far Cry: Regulator Timedemo
Splinter Cell 3: Lighthouse Timedemo

All tests were performed with maximum detail and quality levels.

Note that we have updated our graph system to make understanding the performance scaling much easier. We now have two graphs for each benchmark, the first showing the scaling, the second showing the performance numbers. This allows you guys to make precise comparisons while still being able to understand the performance trends of each card as before.
