Call of Duty

As was the case with XviD encoding, Call of Duty performance shows a clear distinction between the DFI motherboards (which score a tad better) and the Gigabyte motherboards. The ECS KN1 is giving the DFIs a run for their money by matching their performance perfectly.

Our Call of Duty sound test measures the performance hit of going from 11 kHz 2D audio to 44 kHz EAX2 in CoD. The ECS KN1, regardless of its average RightMark Audio scores, takes the cake by beating out the DFI Ultra-D by a full 4 frames per second. It takes the lowest of performance hits, while the Gigabyte boards take the highest.
Comanche 4

The case for Comanche 4 is very similar to what we've been seeing so far, except this time the ECS KN1 comes out on top of both DFI motherboards, even if by an insignificant amount. Things are definitely looking good for the KN1.
