So far here at Neoseeker, we have looked at many different high-end P55 motherboards. The vast majority of them have offered a wide and strong feature set -- but maybe, perhaps, they have not have been the ideal solution for your wallet. But besides, no matter how big your wallet, sometimes you can get want you are after without having to pay for many bells and whistles that you aren't particularly after for your next build. Today's P55H-A is one of ECS' Black Series motherboards which provides exactly that: a motherboard that hits all the key bases while keeping the costs down. It obviously doesn't have all the extra features you'll find in more expensive boards, but it might be the right fit for what you are after, and perhaps they could even be some good overclocking thrown into the mix.
Equipped with Intel's P55 chipset, the P55H-A sports the LGA1156 socket and supports Core i5 and Core i7 800-series processors. The board also can support a pair of ATI cards in CrossFire -- though it lacks SLI, most probably in order to keep the costs down. When it comes to memory, ECS however does have you covered with dual-channel DDR3 with claims of support for speeds above 2130 MHz through overclocking.
Is it the affordable P55 motherboard you've been waiting for? Read on to find out!
