In early July, Samsung Electronics announced the launch of a product never before seen to public eye. This product is the DVD-V1000. It combines a home theater DVD player, with the addition of a VCR, VCD Player, CD Player, and MP3 player all in one. This machine makes its debut to the market at a good time. Consumers are getting used to DVDs showing up in their local video stores. Because people are becoming more educated & comfortable with this media, more DVD players are being sold driving down the high costs we have seen in the past. These folk are migrating from traditional VCR use to that of the DVD due to the higher quality picture, the added cinematic & audio features like widescreen & Dolby Digital/DTS, the ability to play them on your computer, or perhaps due to the extra features (Behind the sceens, featurettes, secrets) which I have grown accustomed to watching whenever renting.. Gotta love those outtakes! Also, with more people becoming accustomed to using MP3s instead of conventional audio cassettes & even audio CDs, this player allows you to play over 100 songs on a single CD. Talk about one all in one device!
