DFI Lan Party NFII Ultra B - PAGE 7
Terren Tong - Wednesday, July 28th, 2004

Audio Tests

The LanParty has the benefit of the Soundstorm DSP and the K8N Neo relies on a AC'97 solution. CPU utilization is similiar to that of the 3400+ and K8N Neo. Again, performance seems to suffer in the overclocked solution as with the HDTach tests.

Our real world tests paints a different picture. We get excellent performance from the LanParty at overclocked speeds, with framerates that beat the Athlon 64 with EAX2 enabled probably due to the efficiency of the Soundstorm DSP. With low quality sound, the LanParty is slightly slower than the Athlon 64 and K8N Neo.
