Synthetic Benchmarks

At stock speeds, the Mobile 2500+ is a bit on the pokey side, but overclocked it keeps up with the Athlon 64 3400+ and even manages to surpass it on content creation

PCMark paints a different story. We have the MSI K8N Neo and 3400+ combo edging out the DFI LanParty and the 2500+ @ 2460. The biggest difference is in the memory department; due to the onboard memory controller of the Athlon 64, it simply trounces the Barton based XP.

Hard Disk Performance

We still have a unresolved bug with HD Tach and the K8N Neo. Chart numbers are not indicative of IDE performance. We note that on the overclocked LanParty solution that CPU utilization was consistently higher than at stock speeds.
