Corsair M65 Pro RGB Gaming Mouse Review - PAGE 1
Marvin Purdy - Thursday, April 7th, 2016 Like ShareCorsair recently introduced the M65 gaming mouse, featuring a eight programmable buttons, a dedicated "sniper" button, Omron switches, and a weight-tuned aluminum base. Like many enthusiast products these days, it also boasts dynamic, customizable backlighting supporting the RGB spectrum of 16.8 million colors to match your keyboard or case lighting.
Taking a closer look at the M65 RGB, we find a 12000 DPI optical sensor for more precise tracking with a surface sensing capability, allowing the mouse to easily slide across many surfaces using large glide PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene; i.e. Teflon) pads. The mouse connects to your computer using a 1.8 meter braided USB cable, and supports the Corsair Utility Engine (CUE) for button and function configuration. You can program the mouse using the CUE software interface to create macros for repetitive actions, customize backlighting colors even for the five DPI setting button, and much more.
The top of the mouse is covered with a thin rubber coating to provide slip free control for work and especially during those intense gaming sessions. Let's get things rolling by taking the M65 RGB gaming mouse out of the box and get a better look at some of the features.

Packaging:
The Corsair M65 Pro RGB box is even smaller than any others I have seen for quite some time. The front panel of the packaging has a side view photo of the M65 Pro RGB in the middle, with the Corsair name and logo in yellow lettering indicating the peripheral class at the upper left corner. The upper right has two small emblems indicating the 12k DPI optical sensor on the left and customizable 16.8 million backlighting on the right emblem.
Listed along the left side are three key features: an "aircraft grade" aluminum frame, weight tuning system for optimizing the center of gravity, and the dedicated sniper button for improved in-game accuracy.
The back of the packaging also has the Corsair name/logo at the upper left, with the actual mouse model name to the right. Occupying the upper-middle portion of the back panel is a top-down view of the mouse with feature highlights indicating the 8 programmable buttons, high-mass scroll wheel, high-precision swicthes.
At the bottom left is a side view of the M65 Pro RGB with the location of the "Sniper" button location. The final photo on the back panel showcases the bottom of the mouse, noting the weight tuning zones and extra-large glide pads.
The left side panel repeats of the mouse features listed on the front, while the right side panel has the list of package contents and system requirements.
The top and bottom panels of the box contain miscellaneous product information like the serial number, copyright notification and several international symbols for proper package disposal and manufacturing standards.
Opening the front panel of the packaging reveals the blister pack containing the actual M65 Pro RGB mouse. The reverse side of the front panel contains several more photos of the mouse highlighting the three-zone 16.8M color backlighting.
Aside from the mouse, inside the packaging you'll find the quick start guide and warranty booklet available in several languages.
