CineBench
For CineBench, the Core 2 Quad Q8300 does quite well at stock - slightly beating the Phenom II X4 940 and 810, as well as the Phenom X4 9950 and Q8200. It was however significantly beaten by the stock Core 2 Quad QX9770 and Core i7 920 - however when maximally overclocked, it managed to beat the stock QX9770 and i7 920 as well.

POVRay
The results were similar in POVRay - the Core 2 Quad Q8300 at stock beat most of the stock Phenom results, and was in turn beaten by the stock Phenom II X4 940, Core i7 920 and QX9770.

I am a total nub to overclocking, if I put these parameters in, should it all run smoothly? or is there some complex stuff i need to run to check stability?
