Finally, the Core 2 Quad Q8300 begins to turn in some good numbers, at stock speed it beats (for integer arithmetic) the Phenom II X4 940 at stock and overclocked settings, ditto for the X4 810 and 9950, however it does get beaten in floating point.

The Core 2 Quad Q8300 got decent latency figures courtesy of the P45's memory controller.

Sandra Bandwidth

The memory bandwidth of the Core 2 Quad Q8300 is limited due to communicating with the memory controller over the FSB, so it did poorly in comparison with processors with on-cpu memory controllers.
