Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 & E6400 Review - PAGE 4
William Henning, Geordan Hankinson
- Thursday, September 7th, 2006

Sandra

For raw CPU performance, there is no question that even the E6300 handily beats an AM2 X2 3800+ - but there is a significant price difference.

The chart was dominated by the overclocked E6400 and E6700, however the figures are suspect as there are rumours of a bug in this version of Sandra; however the *relative* difference between numbers may very well still be valid.

We see a familiar story when it comes to Sandra memory bandwidth - the E6300 and E6400 bracket the AM2 X2 3800+ ... however the FX-62 with its on-board memory controller manages to edge out the E6700 at stock and overclocked.

WinRAR

Well, even the E6300 trounces the AM2 X2 3800+ at stock; the E6400 slightly edges out the AM2 X2 5000+ - and the overclocked E6400 and E6700 dominate this chart.
