Cooler Master CMSTORM Recon, Skorpion, & Speed RXL Review - PAGE 2

The focus of this review is the CMSTORM Recon, so we'll start by taking a look at it first. The high-precision gaming mouse arrives in a mostly black box. The front of the box lists a few of the mouse's specifications and opens up revealing a plastic window through which you'll get a glimpse of the CMSTORM Recon itself. A more detailed set of specifications can be found on the back of the box.
The CMSTORM Recon's grip-coated ambidextrous body features two buttons on both the left and right side. Two more buttons are located behind the mouse wheel. These two buttons will allow you to change the mouse's LED color on the fly. As with most current generation peripherals, the CMSTORM Recon is connected to your rig via USB connector. Flipping the mouse over reveals its high-performance Avago sensor. As previously stated, this sensor has a 800-4000 a DPI range.
CoolerMaster knows aesthetics are important to any gamer, so they've given users the ability to change the CMSTORM Recon's LED colors on the fly. Users will be able to choose between a red, light green or blue, all of which make the mouse look even cooler than it already did to begin with!
CMSTORM Speed RXL
The CMSTORM Speed RXL mouse pad arrives in a long rectangular box. The front of the box sports the mouse pad's logo, while the back features a few of its product details. The mouse pad itself is a giant black felt pad. Its only downside is that you'll need quite a bit of desk space available to actually place it.
CMSTORM Skorpion
Last but not least, lets take a look at the Skorpion. This mouse bungee ships pre-assembled in a box with a cutout plastic window. Removing the mouse bungee from its packaging, we can see that CoolerMaster was aiming to make it (somewhat) resemble an actual scorpion. To use the mouse bungee, you simply run the mouse cord through the "tail" piece. Once you've done this, place the bungee at the edge of the mouse pad, making sure you leave enough cord to actually move the mouse all around the mouse pad. The CMSTORM Skorpion will help keep any excess cord from getting in your way.
Now let's see how well they work together.
