Introduction
One of the names that should always come up when thinking of companies that cater towards enthusiasts is BFG Tech. Products and attitude are two defining traits of an enthusiast oriented company; they try to take that extra step and really cater to gamers. What happens if you have a problem with your videocard at 3:30 AM during a LAN party? For most people the old, yet colorful adage "SOL" would describe their prospects for tech support. With a BFG Tech card though everyone has access to 24/7 tech support. Not through email but through a toll free number. How's that for customer service?
Another example of BFG's focus on gamers is the resurrection of the Boomslang line of mice, famous in years past for their greatly increased DPI accuracy over mice of the same era. When VisionTek went down for the count a couple years ago, BFG immediately took up the void that VisionTek left in the retail market; and like the VisionTek of old, BFG is a Nvidia-only partner (this has since changed though once VisionTek was brought out of bankruptcy as they are ATi only now).
Today we take a look at the BFG Asylum GeForce FX 5900, coinciding with Nvidiaâs big announcement that the recently released Call of Duty will be exclusively bundled with several Nvidia products including the 5900 and 5900 XT series of cards. This is a pretty exciting announcement and a boost to an already interesting product.

Thanks!
I used Coolbits autodetect to determine tha maximum frequency and backed off some for a working setting of 450 clock and 925 memory. With the standard benchmark settings and all the Win XP Pro settings at "Best Image Quality", I get:
3D Mark01 (free version): 17,2XX
3DMark03 Pro: 64XX
PCMark04 (build 110, free version): 65XX
This may be the best deal out there for 70-80% of the serious gamers. I realize that the other high end cards I mentioned are faster but my eyes and reflexes cannot tell the differance between 200fps and 210fps so I will pocket the several hundred dollars I saved and put it toward my next PC.
By the way, I do not work for BFG, I am a retired Army Master Sergeant and I tell it like it is!
I've heard very good things about BFG product generally & think they're a real comer in the vidcards biz.
In my house, anyway, advantage back to Nvidia!
(And I'm a retired E-8 too, Sarge, 'cept I was a swabbie

There you have it folks, endorsements by a Senior Chief Petty Officer and a Master Sergeant. That covers the land and the sea, now if we just had an Air Force Senior Master Sergeant ................
Thanks.
