Bearlake Launch & Gigabyte P35-DS3R Review - PAGE 10
William Henning - Monday, May 21st, 2007

Business Winstone

At stock speeds, the Business Winstone was nothing to write home about - with the Gigabyte P35-DS3R taking fourth place out of seven contenders.

The results are much better with a 1333MHz FSB, and oh my, look at how the situation changes when overclocked!

The Gigabyte P35-DS3R and the Gigabyte P965-DR3 are tied for first place - this is amazing given that the P35-DS3R is running at 3.5GHz whereas the P965-DS3 is running at 3.64!

This once again shows us how important FSB, and to a lesser extent, memory speed is.

Content Creation

The Content Creation benchmark is much more suited to the P35-DS3R - it takes second place at stock settings, slightly behind the N680SLI.

Looking at the numbers, the 1333MHz FSB certainly helps.

When overclocked, the Gigabyte P35-DS3R takes first place!
