Introduction
Conroe has been seeing very solid success since its introduction this summer with many enthusiasts flocking to the new architecture. ASUS have been quite quick to the draw at the high end getting their P5W DH Deluxe to market with decent speed in regards to availability of the new Core 2 chips late this summer. The P5W DH is the highest end Core 2 board to ship from the heavyweight Tier 1 and is centered around the proven 975X chipset.
ASUS have packed in an incredible amount on this board and are targetting it directly at the gamer who wants absolutely everything bundled into what we presume will be a solidly overclocking motherboard. We'll be taking a look at the tried and true 975X chipset and what to expect from it compared to the P965 northbridge we saw on our Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 board on the next page.
ASUS have packed a massive number of features into the P5W-DH so keep reading to take a look at what ASUS have managed!
Here's the basic spec sheet giving the full run down of the details.
