For info my core2 duo 6300 is running at 3500 (7*500) with Vcore 1.425V, cooled with thermalright ultra-120 with a lone noctua fan (asus P5B deluxe).

I've got this motherboard, the Asus P5B-E, currently running on a Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz. I was interested in upgrading to a Core 2 Quad. Do you know for certain if it is compatible?

Thanks.

Everything I read about them say that they are quad-core compatible. Now, if you will need to update your BIOS or not, I don't know.

I *think* it should work with the latest BIOS, however be careful of how high you clock it if you use a quad core so you don't draw more current than the board can supply

I wonder how you could make such a nice BIOS screenshots!
I'm writing a documentation where the BIOS screenshot is required, but I can only take it with a camera. Have you used some other way?
I have found a simulator for Award BIOS, but no way for AMI BIOSes.

Turn the lights off.

Don't use a flash.

Set the camera on a timer so you can hold still.

You may need to crop the edges in photoshop as well.

What Player1 said ^ and this too:
  • Tripod
  • Small-ish 4:3 LCD monitor (17" is ideal)

The pictures taken in this review were actually taken with a some sort of non-camera image taking device. I'm not sure what it was , sorry, but I can tell you it wasn't a camera.

Though Player1 and Zertz have taken shots as nice with camera though.

I used a USB2VGA device from Epiphan.

Hope this helps!
