Testing
Comfort
The ASUS Orion Pro headset is definitely one of the more comfortable headsets I've used. The earcups fit nicely around the ears and are easily adjustable to fit heads of most shapes and sizes. The headset is large, but not very bulky and the padding on the top only adds more comfort. Prolonged use did cause my ears to feel a bit sweaty thanks to the padding, but it wasn't a major issue.
Music/Movies
What can I say, the Orion Pro performs! The bass comes in clear and special effects in films sound amazing! When surround sound is enabled on the Spitfire controller, the experience only gets better.
Gaming
This headset was made for gaming and for gamers; as an ASUS product you can bet it does what it's intended to do! The audio during gameplay was completely immersive and once again the Spitfire controller really improved experience when it kicks in!
Microphone
Unfortunately the Orion Pro's microphone performed subpar compared to the rest of the headset. Each time I used the Orion Pro headset it managed to pick up a great deal of background noise. Not only that, but I feel as though voices recorded through the microphone were much softer compared to other mics. It's not a terribly damning complaint if you feel the most important thing when it comes to a headset is overall sound quality.
