Asus Eee PC 901 Review - PAGE 4
William Henning - Friday, July 4th, 2008

The BIOS

The Eee PC comes with a standard AMI BIOS - and there is not much you can change in it.

Please excuse the black bar on the left and the cropping on the right of the BIOS images - our VGA capture device could not properly make sense of the video timing used when displaying the BIOS screens.

The main menu shows you the BIOS version and build date, describes the processor and memory size.

It also lets you change the time and date.

That's it.

The Advanced menu lets you make some changes to the IDE configuration, onboard device configuration and CPU configuration.

Frankly, I was disappointed in the minimal control offered.

The Security, Boot and Exit menu's were equally simple.

I tried to update the BIOS several however the server was too busy every time I tried.
