gaming benchmarks seem a bit... suspect.

dirt 3 @ 1080p on a i7 sees ~+100% over the 6800k?

no crysis3 performance figures for amd?

Pitting an APU that is largely designed for nettops and low power PCs for multimedia against the top of the range Ivybridge? Seems a bit unfair on the APU methinks.

Having said that the APU does seem a bit underperforming for the specs of it. Would be nice if AMD manage to fix whatever the *bleep* it is that holds their processsors back.

i7 3770k = £260
AMD A10 = £114

At twice the price you'd expect twice the performance from an i7.

Should have compared it to something in the same price range,

In the same price bracket is an Intel i3 3240T = £114
But I hear it just pips the popular i5 3570k = £178
