Abit AA8XE - PAGE 10
Tom Karpik - Thursday, May 19th, 2005

Doom 3

Doom 3 is a very interesting case. Both the nForce 4 and AA8XE systems score considerably higher than the competition (an average of about ~20 FPS), keeping in a tight group, while the other three competitors also stay in their own tight group.

Half-Life 2

Half-Life 2 results are more scattered, with the nForce 4 system taking the lead again, and the AA8XE in second place, about 4.6 FPS behind. In general, I can say that I'm pleased with the AA8XE's performance in these two games. It definitely gets rid of some of that last-place mentality I've been building so far.
