This update fixes several issues and made overclocking more stable for me.

Cool, I'll check it out, and if I can afford some small measure of time, probablly run a few benchmarks to see what performance advantages this new BIOS brings to this Abit board.

Just wondering if having two sli bridges between two 8800s results in a performance increase?

I have read that it is not supported but this author feels that it makes a difference?

During the testing phase for the Abit IN9 32X-Max motherboard, I performed no SLI tests. The review was simply to gauge gauge the performance aspects of the board itself and not how it ran with a dual graphics set-up. Personally, I haven't read anything about how G80 SLI works on the Nvidia 680i chipset based boards. But if you look at the Alienware site (we all know who they are), they do sell a desktop rig that uses a 680i based board and dual 8800 graphics cards. So it must give some performance increase. In the past, it's been found that the performance benefits from dual G70 based Nvidia cards is noticeable, but in most cases, negligible. It does help though, and with proper tweaking and tuning/overclocking in the BIOS (both the motherboard BIOS and graphics cards BIOS) you could increase SLI graphics performance by up to 70%. Because the G80 GPU is relatively new, it will take a few subsequent driver/firmware revisions to facilitate better SLI performance. Of course, there's always the cost versus performance ratio. But if you have the cash, a 680i G80 SLI rig could yeil some impressive frame rates. Just be prepered to spen a couple of solid days tweaking it. And be prepered to jump on any new Nforce driver releases the second they appear. On a side note, I am going to be building a 680i based G80 SLI based system in the coming months. It's goin g to be my own personal rig (though I don't really game anymore), and I will probably be profiling it on Neoseeker. It's going to take time and money. As for the specific parts I'll be using and what I'll be doing, well, that's a secret.

Well, my new 680i rig is still under development. It'll be a little while before the first electrons start flowing. Granted though, if it turns out to be a power house machine, I'll probablly write a Neoseeker review for it and start a forum thread for discussion. I have no definite due date in mind, so just keep on checking the Neoseeker site and the forums.

Im normally into gigabyte boards..but once a new revision/bios comes out im going to this board..i anxiously await..excuse me while i wipe the drool off my key board..
