Abit Fatal1ty AN9 32X - PAGE 8
J. Micah Grunert - Friday, November 10th, 2006

Memory performance is important, but apparently not to important to the Fatal1ty. Now these results aren't horrible per-say, just a little lower than expected. And on an added note, we usually run RightMark Memory Analyzer in addition to Sandra. But as fate would have it, the other boards we tested against weren't too cooperative when it came to setting memory timings. All of them (with exception of our Fatal1ty) would force their own set of timings regardless of what the installed memory would clock at. So it was decided to axe the RightMark Memory tests. It simply wouldn't be fair.

Again, the memory performance on the Fatal1ty is a little disappointing. It is a fair figure though.

As for WinRAR, things aren't looking too good here either.

My suspicions would hint towards a poor memory controller settings in the BIOS. Though we did our best to tweak the memory for its maximum bandwidth, there may have been one elusive setting the Fatal1ty Bios was lacking. So it could be a BIOS issue most likely.
