Abit AB9 Pro Review - PAGE 8
William Henning - Tuesday, October 10th, 2006

HDTach

The Abit AB9 Pro turned in outstanding  HDTach performance for SATA.

It was not even close.

True, it did use twice the CPU, however it had almost twice the burst transfer rate compared even to the P5W, and a 16% faster average read bandwidth.

For plain IDE, the AB9 Pro placed last by a small margin on burst, but really, that is not relevant these days.

The AB9 Pro won for USB transfers by 16%!

WinRAR

The AB9 Pro slighly beat the P5B at stock, but beat the P5B when overclocked. The P5W clobbered it when overclocked.
