Abit AB9 Quad GT Review - PAGE 9
Michael Nguyen - Monday, March 12th, 2007

LAME MP3

TMPGEnc

Xvid

The Quad GT seems to be encoding friendly except for the double pass Xvid compression. To put the Xvid score in perspective, it took the Quad GT over 11 minutes to compress a video file where as it took the other boards less than 9 minutes. I ran the test a couple extra time but the results were similar. It is almost certain that the result is due to problems with the software, possibly made worse by the poor Sata-2 driver performance.
