Often there are products that come around and amaze us with either their performance or price, however, some rare products manage to be very capable in both regards. This was the case with the Titan Fenrir, which offered exceptional cooling performance, yet only retailed for around $50 when it was first released last year. Also adding to the overall value of the cooler was the included 120mm fan, whereas many other heatsinks with higher premiums require a fan to be bought separately.
So, with the Fenrir already offering exceptional performance at a very competitive price, Titan has decided to take a "why fix what’s not broken" approach when creating the Fenrir EVO. Instead of creating a new cooler from scratch, the EVO uses the same basic principles that made the Fenrir great, while adding a slick new color scheme and upgraded fan.
To achieve such a high level of cooling performance, the Fenrir uses large aluminum finned array design with four 8mm thick heatpipes that make direct contact with the CPU. The direct contact design transfers heat more efficiently to the finned array, which allows the heatsink to dissipate heat faster than a standard design.
The new look of the Fenrir EVO is definitely eye catching, and would look great in any case with a side window. But with a new fan being the only real update to the cooling performance, will the EVO be a worthy successor?

However, I'm gutted that I've heard about this just days after buying their original design. They're retailing at the same price as the original for precisely the reasons mentioned above.
