The first optical gaming mouse released by the NZXT design team was the Avatar, which featured 7 buttons and 2600 DPI tracking. The Avatar was designed with gamers in mind and as such incorporated many high-end features to improve the overall responsiveness and customization. The real difference between the Avatar and other models on the market was its narrow design, which gave the mouse a long yet thin profile perfect for anyone sick of standard mice designs. It's now been about two years since the Avatar launched, and today we are going to be looking at a new design based on the original. Enter the NZXT Avatar S, or Avatar Small. It's an even smaller variant of the original design, which should be ideal for gamers who prefer a thinner and more low-profile mouse. In addition to the new shape, the Avatar S also has features like a 1600 DPI laser with tracking speeds of up to 30 inches per second, and an ambidextrous design.
