Digital storage to some capacity is already part of our day-to-day lives, whether it be the micro-SD card in a smart phone, USB flash drive, or even a standard hard drive in a computer. These small devices allow us to store virtually any form of data and have made tasks such as photography and transferring files easier than ever before. Additionally, memory capacity has been gradually increasing over the years, and we are now at a point where we can store and transport hundreds to thousands of MP3s and digital images, as well as record hours worth of HD video on a single storage device.
One of the latest storage devices (or more precisely media) on the market is the Mushkin SDHC card, currently offered in capacities of 8GB, 16GB and 32GB. The cards also utilize the class 10 speed rating, giving them a 10MB/sec minimum data transfer rate. This means transferring data from a Mushkin SD card will be faster than similar products that use class 2, 4, or 6 speed ratings. In this review we are going to be examining the 16GB model. The 16GB SDHC card has a MSRP of $24.99, which is quite low considering the amount of storage it offers.
