Synthetic Benchmarks
The K8NSNXP does well in both PCMag's Winstone Benchmarks. The K8NSNXP falls just slightly behind the K8N Neo in Business Winstone while taking a substantial lead in Multimedia Content Creation
PCMark does not as rosy a story as Winstone. Both Gigabyte boards are slower than the MSI and AOpen boards by a fair margin in the CPU test. The K8NSNXP even manages to fall behind the K8NNXP in the memory bandwidth test.
CPU utilization on the NForce 3 250 chipset is much improved over the NForce 3 150 and the K8T800. CPU usage was an impressive 6% less than the original K8NNXP with IDE and 8% less under SATA compared to last generation chipsets. The MSI has similar results in the SATA test while there was an anomaly that we could not resolve under the IDE test for MSI.
