The largest percentage of graphics cards sold worldwide are not the pixel pushing monsters that break the bank. That's because the average PC user doesn’t play games with the settings maxed out, but instead settles for hardware that enhances general computing. This is where graphics cards such as the Galaxy GT 440 reviewed today step in. A card like this is designed to run in parallel with the rest of the system via CUDA processing, which increases the speed of applications ranging from Photoshop to WinRAR.
Additionally, the Galaxy GT 440 features technologies that are not supported by most integrated graphics processors. These include support for DX11, 3D gaming, PureVideo HD technology and so on. Again, features such as these are meant to enhance the efficiency of day to day tasks and make watching HD content and using Stereoscopic 3D (or even just browsing the internet) that much better. The Galaxy GT 440 is capable of doing all of this, but with a large 2GB frame buffer it should pack more of a punch than the standard 1GB model.

Yeah, not really a great card from what I read. ~$110 and the performance didn't justify the price >_> Just really meant for people in certain circumstances.
