Overclocking & BIOS Features
As you can see in the chart below there is a lot of limitation with this board in terms of overclocking. Don't blame it all on Gigabyte though; even though VIA is in hot competition with NVIDIA for the Socket A market, they still choose not to include an AGP/PCI lock. This severely limits overclocking, especially of 266MHz processors since the maximum FSB is going to be 330MHz. Overclockers with Nforce2 experience know that a 400MHz FSB is attainable using Thoroughbred B 266Mhz processors and locked PCI/AGP settings. Now with Barton processor you get a little more head room but we're still limited somewhat by the Vcore and Vdimm settings. Another annoyance for anyone wanting to overclock this board is the fact that you have to adjust the multiplier with dip switches on the board itself.
